Jody Mayfield is a highly-regarded jazz virtuoso hailing from Atlanta, GA. He honed his musical skills at Morris Brown College, where he received a B.A. in Music Performance and a Master's degree in Music Technology from Southern Utah University. Jody's exceptional educational background complements his immense musical talent.

Throughout his career, Jody has had the privilege of performing alongside legendary jazz musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, James Lloyd, Frank Foster, and Grover Washington Jr. He has also opened for iconic artists, including Sarah Vaughn, Dexter Gordon, and Lionel Hampton, and collaborated with hip-hop legends like Jermaine Dupri and Organized Noize.

Jody's exceptional talent extends beyond the jazz scene, as he has made significant contributions to the film and television industry. He has worked with Robert Townsend and produced a double CD set of songs for the non-profit organization Young Life. Jody's company, JMQ Studios, specializes in music for film and television, and he has several successful movie soundtracks under his belt.

Jody's album "A Jody Jazz Christmas" reached the number one spot on the smooth jazz charts during the holiday season of 2020. His latest project, “Doing the Do," has received critical acclaim and is rapidly climbing the charts.
